# Tenax Load Calculator (Sandwich Panel Designer) > Free web calculator by Tenax Panel SIA that checks Tenax sandwich panels (wall, roof, ceiling, suspended facade) against wind and snow loads according to EN 14509, EN 1991-1-3, EN 1991-1-4 and EN 1990, with national coefficients for 8 countries. URL: https://loadcalc.tenax.lv/ . No login. Results are indicative and must be verified by a qualified structural engineer. ## Key facts - Owner: Tenax Panel SIA (Latvia). Contact: info@tenaxpanel.com - Type: browser-based engineering calculator; calculations run in the user's browser, inputs and results are not sent to a server. - Language: English interface. - Panels covered: TENAX W MW, TENAX W MW Thermo Plus, TENAX W MW Strong, TENAX W PIR (wall panels); TENAX TR MW, TENAX TR PIR (roof panels). - Applications: wall (horizontal and vertical panels), roof, ceiling, suspended facade. - Standards: EN 14509 (sandwich panels, Annex E), EN 1991-1-4 (wind), EN 1991-1-3 (snow), EN 1990 (load combinations), EN 1993-1-8 / ETA (fasteners), EN 15254-5 (fire, EI-M). - Country coefficient sets: EU standard, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland. - Output: utilisation of each panel check, load diagrams and a printable report. ## What it calculates | Check | Basis | |---|---| | Wind pressure on walls and roofs (wall zones A-E, roof zones F-I) | EN 1991-1-4 | | Snow load on roofs | EN 1991-1-3 | | Load combinations (ULS and SLS) | EN 1990 with national annex values | | Bending, shear, face wrinkling, deflection, bearing, support reactions, thermal bow | EN 14509 Annex E | | Fasteners (screws), including custom screws | EN 1993-1-8 / ETA | | Suspended facade on Tenax panels | Tenax Panel methodological guidelines | ## Site lookup (wind and snow by address) The tool can find an indicative design wind speed and ground snow load from an address or coordinates. Every value is shown with its source and must be verified against the national annex. | Country | Wind (vb) | Snow (sk) | |---|---|---| | Denmark | national annex, coast-distance rule (24-27 m/s) | 1.0 kN/m2 | | Finland | 21 m/s | map of Ministry decree 6/16 | | Latvia | 21 / 24 / 27 m/s by coastal zone | map of LVS EN 1991-1-3/NA:2015 | | Lithuania | 24 / 28 / 32 m/s by zone | 1.2 / 1.6 kN/m2 by zone | | Estonia | 21 m/s | 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 kN/m2 by zone | | Sweden | 20-27 m/s, Boverket BFS 2024:6 | 1.0-5.5 kN/m2, Boverket BFS 2024:6 | | Norway | per municipality, NS-EN 1991-1-4/NA | enter manually | | Iceland | 36 m/s | by snow area, IST EN 1991-1-3/NA | ## Questions and answers Q: What is the Tenax Load Calculator? A: A free online calculator from Tenax Panel SIA that checks whether a Tenax sandwich panel can carry the wind and snow loads of a given building, per EN 14509 and the Eurocodes. Q: Which panels does it cover? A: TENAX W MW, W MW Thermo Plus, W MW Strong and W PIR wall panels, and TENAX TR MW and TR PIR roof panels. Q: Does it need an account or login? A: No. A project name and the engineer's name are asked when a calculation is started. Q: Are my calculation inputs stored on a server? A: No. Calculations run in the browser. Only usage records are logged on the company server: project name, engineer name, time, mode, country preset, panel product, overall pass/fail, report type and the visitor's country. Calculation inputs, results, searched addresses and IP addresses are not stored. Q: Can I rely on the results without checking them? A: No. Results are indicative. The user is solely responsible for the inputs and for verifying every result; a qualified structural engineer must check them before design, procurement or construction. Q: Which countries are supported? A: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland, plus an EU standard set. Q: Does it cover the fixings to the load-bearing structure? A: No. Fasteners are checked for the panel connection; fixings to the load-bearing structure are not covered. Q: Can the calculation parameters be changed? A: Yes, on the Parameters page. Changing them is entirely the user's own responsibility, and changed values are listed in the report. ## Links - [Calculator](https://loadcalc.tenax.lv/): the application - [Parameters](https://loadcalc.tenax.lv/params.html): partial factors, combination coefficients, material and fastener factors, country presets - [Third-party notices](https://loadcalc.tenax.lv/third-party-notices.txt): licences of bundled components - [Tenax Panel](https://tenax.lv/): the company ## Limits - Not a substitute for a structural engineer's design. - Wind and snow values from the site lookup are indicative; verify them against the current national annex. - Norwegian ground snow load is not provided by the lookup; enter it manually.
